Linktree vs Tap Bio: Comparison & Walkthrough!

#1 - Popularity

If we do a popularity contest between Linktree and Tap Bio, Linktree is far better as it has more than 40 million users worldwide.

On the contrary, Tap Bio isn’t transparent about the total number of users they have.

There’s not even a single place where I could find how many people are a part of the community.

Still, their Instagram says it all:

Winner: Linktree

#2 - Dashboard

On Linktree, you get a full-fledged platform where you can customize your link in bio page easily.

You can add links, set up a store for your products, and play around the overall appearance which includes buttons, background, profile picture, etc.

On Tap Bio, all you get is a vertical window where you can add, hide, or edit your cards, view stats, and go through your account settings.

This is all Tap Bio has for us. And comparing both, I’ve learnt that Tap Bio still requires a lot of development.

To be honest, I could figure out Linktree way faster than Tap Bio. Not only that, what Tap Bio calls a profile picture doesn’t look like one.

I spent a few minutes figuring out if there’s a way to put a DP in a circle or square.

Winner: Linktree

#3 - Templates, Aesthetics, & Appearance

Tap Bio is a monotonous platform. There’s not a lot to play with.

This is all you get:

On Linktree, you can use up to 25 pre-made templates.

What’s interesting? Within seconds, you can change background, fonts, button styles, and do a lot more.

Let’s see what we can get on both platforms:

Winner: Linktree

#4 - Analytics

Unless you spend $3 on Tap Bio, forget about getting stats. As you can see here, there’s no stats available in their free plan:

Whereas Linktree helps you track lifetime analytics without any fee. This includes views, clicks, and CTR.

And if you pay a little extra, you can get access to advanced analytics which includes top locations, subscribers, top performing products, and a lot more.

Winner: Linktree

#5 - Pricing

In $3/month, you can’t get all the features on Tap Bio. As you can see here, you can get a few profile cards and stats only.

Linktree offers a lot of features for free.

And if you go for the Pro plan, you can remove their branding, have your store setup, and integrate with a bunch of 3rd party apps to streamline everything.

Winner: Linktree

Final Verdict

If Linktree is backed by Mashable, Forbes, Insider, and many other influencers, Tap Bio also got support from Producthunt, Bing, DCTop20, and a few well-known local brands and influencers.

The only reason I’d go for Tap Bio is their story-like interface. Otherwise, I’ll definitely choose Linktree over it. After all, they’re giving more value comparatively.
